I’m Abigail, the language learner and lover behind this blog.
My dreams of becoming multilingual started before I could even read or write in my first language. Unfortunately for those around me, that mostly manifested in me forcing my friends to learn my conlangs and begging my parents for Muzzy tapes.
Two decades later, I’m still talking about languages to anyone who will listen. Luckily for me, that’s resulted in speaking opportunities, published magazine articles, and a supportive community that loves languages and the things we can do with them as much as I do!
Here you’ll find videos and blog posts about my experience learning, improving, and maintaining multiple languages, as well as tips and advice based on the things I’ve discovered along the way.
I hope my posts inspire you to learn a language in the ways that work best for you!
Outside of Polyglot Progress, I’m a writer, content strategist, and filmmaker. Want to work together on an upcoming project? Send me a message with the contact form.
Some of my favourite things are languages (duh), reading, Doctor Who, my cat, and roller derby.
